“Our experience at St. Mary’s was great. My son was very happy with his care, which is saying a lot considering he’s an RRT. He was thankful for the care he received.”
Best Wishes To Lezli Roberts in Retirement
Providence St. Mary Medical Center Foundation is honored to recognize Lezli Roberts, director of philanthropy, for her 28 years of service upon her retirement beginning in June 2023.
Throughout her career, Lezli has been a shining example of dedication and passion, raising over $15 million in philanthropic donations to advance patient care at Providence St. Mary. Her tireless efforts have profoundly impacted thousands of lives within the High Desert communities.
“Providence St. Mary has been an extremely wonderful career for me,” she says. “I have truly enjoyed working for an organization whose mission is close to my heart.”
Lezli joined in 1995 as one of the foundation’s original staff members. Her historical knowledge has been essential in sharing the medical center’s story and how philanthropy has played a key role in establishing it as a pillar in the community. But beyond her success in fundraising, Lezli has been a cherished friend to all — especially our donors and caregivers — and her legacy will indeed continue long after retirement.
“My husband Chuck and I have enjoyed living in the High Desert over the last 33 years, where we have raised our two sons,” Lezli says, reflecting on the last three decades. “Our departing is bittersweet as we have developed many friendships and will miss those who have been close to us. Our decision to move out of the area was not easy, but we look forward to returning to where we were born and raised — the beach!”
The entire Providence family thanks Lezli for her extraordinary contributions to our mission throughout her career. We wish her a lifetime of exciting new adventures in her well-deserved retirement!
