Hope Grows Here
Annual Providence St. Mary Celebration raises funds for critical programs
On April 27, Providence St. Mary Medical Center Foundation held its 32nd annual Celebration enjoyed by more than 250 guests at The Market at Town’s End. The “Hope Grows Here” event was a huge success, raising over $282,000.
Proceeds will support our newly established internal medicine residency program, attracting the best and brightest new physicians to our area. Funds raised will also support other critical initiatives, including our efforts to become a Level IV trauma center and our commitment to establishing our Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) program.
Donor honors and recognition
During the event, the Foundation honored loyal supporters Robert and Melanie Lovingood with the Spirit Award in appreciation for their more than 30 years of support. The Lovingood family has paved the way for various initiatives, including groundbreaking advancements and program expansions, leaving a legacy that will benefit thousands of High Desert families.
In his remarks, Providence St. Mary chief executive Randy Castillo expressed his appreciation to our awardees and our donor community. “We thank the Lovingood family for their enduring legacy of compassion and generosity,” he shared. “On behalf of our caregivers and from the bottom of my heart, we are beyond grateful for the continued support we receive from our donor community. I have been with Providence St. Mary for almost five years now, and it’s been incredible to watch the bond with our supporters grow stronger with each passing year.
