Providence St. Mary Medical Center is committed to caring for mind, body and spirit. That care should be available to all those in our community who need it.
Mental health care fin San Bernardino County has grown, but a sizable gap remains between those receiving help and those who still need it. That’s why we partner with location community organizations to provide behavioral health services and address the mental health crisis within our community.
Mental Health Initiative for High Desert Youth
Our Help is Here campaign will work with community programs aimed at closing that gap, including a focus on shifting the perception around mental health care. Providence has also developed its own free school program, Work to be Well, that is student-led.
DonateAddressing the Mental Health Crisis
In response to concerns of increased mental health crisis, the hospital started a suicide navigation grant program, assisting youth in crisis. The hospital invested to stabilize local food, housing, and health programs. The COVID crisis is informing county and local governments that neighborhood vulnerabilities are readily apparent.
