Mental Health Initiative for High Desert Youth
Our Help is Here campaign will work with community programs aimed at closing that gap, including a focus on shifting the perception around mental health care. Providence has also developed its own free school program, Work to be Well, that is student-led.Addressing the Mental Health Crisis
In response to concerns of increased mental health crisis, the hospital started a suicide navigation grant program, assisting youth in crisis. The hospital invested to stabilize local food, housing, and health programs. The COVID crisis is informing county and local governments that neighborhood vulnerabilities are readily apparent.A donation makes a difference. Here’s proof.
Helping Nurses Advance
With the support of our donor community, Providence St. Mary is supporting our nurses in advancing their careers by elevating their knowledge and skill levels. Each year, the Foundation offers the Frederick and Betty Lou Gross Scholarship to nurses for continuing their education.
Transition into Practice Program
Through Providence California Clinical Academy’s Transition into Practice (TIP) program , nurses receive clinical coaching focused on building practice-based clinical skills, effective patient and family communication, advanced knowledge in evidence-based nursing practice and much more.
