Emergencies treated quickly
Shawn Davis, a quadriplegic as a result of tragic car accident, got what he thought was a simple cold. When it turned into a severe bilateral pneumonia, he was rushed to Providence St Mary. Pulmonologist Dr. Ricardo Gomez performed numerous bronchoscopies on Shawn — one of them going on for more than three hours — finally opening up his airways and saving Shawn’s life.
