She taught for 11 years in Phelan, CA and then worked as a school administrator for 20 years before retiring. She continues to serve educators by being a Chair for the WASC Accrediting Commission for the State Department of Education.
Jeanette and her husband Charles have two children.
What motivates your desire to give back?
I want to support my local community. It’s important to give where you live.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
I want to ensure our community has a strong hospital. I like helping the hospital expand. It’s exciting to hear that St. Mary is the “first” or “only” to do things in the high desert because of the support we receive through the foundation.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
I thought it would be a great way to support our community and an organization I personally care about.
